Flaunt It Fridays Challenge- Winter Frolic Snowman

Since I don't have Winter Frolic, I used the snowman from Doodlecharms cart. I cut his hat from Paper Doll Dress Up. The snow flakes are from my stash. For the snow at the bottom I tore a piece of white paper and put Stickles crystal on it. His scarf is a piece of yarn. The stamp is from Scrappy Cat Clear Stamps.

Simply Charming Cricut Challenge

This is the first card I made for the Simply Charming Cricut Challenge at Getting Cricky with K Andrew.

The card base is from Hot Off The Press. The mouse is from Create-a-Critter cart. The scalloped circle is from Mini Monograms and the paper is from my stash. Ribbon is from Michael's.

Card 2

On the next one I used another card base from Hot Off The Press and the gingerbread man is from From My Kitchen cart. The paper for the gingerbread man is Bazzill basics. The ribbon is from Michael's and the stamp is from Scrappy Cat Clear Stamps. The holly is from my stash.

Super Giveaway!

K Andrew is giving away the micro mini sharpie holder and pen from Amy Chomas. Check it out! She has a video showing how to use it.

Thanksgiving cards

I only made 2 Thanksgiving cards this year. This first one I made, I got the idea from one I saw on Cardz TV with Mary. I thought it would be so cute for my 5 year old grandson. I used Doodlecharms for the roasted turkey and Create-a-Critter for the other one.
The inside said, "For Thanksgiving Tom Turkey has only two words to say to you, "Eat ham!!"
He thought it was pretty funny.

The other one I made was for my 3 year old grandson. I used Stretch Your Imagination for this turkey.

Another card

This card was made for my namesake granddaughter, Miranda Catherine. She is so much like me :) We are both such Chocoholics!! When I was looking for paper to make her card, I found this really cool paper full of chocolate chips. I knew I had to use it!
This is what I came up with.

The verse is so cute!

A Little Behind

It seems like my days go by so fast. I haven't been on the computer much because I've been knitting and crocheting a lot. I knitted my first pair of socks from toe up using the magic loop. The yarn I used was wool and mink. I wore them to Cory's football game and I'm glad I did! They were so warm!
The pair I'm working on now has a pattern on the top, but not too complicated. That yarn is wool, bamboo, and nylon. I hope they are warm, too.
Ok now for some of the cards I made for December birthdays.
This first one was made for Bill and Deb's anniversary. Not much Cricut on this, just a scalloped circle.

The next card I made was for my Mother's birthday. Again no Cricut on this one. I love how it came out.

The next one I made is for Julie's birthday. I tried something new for this one. I found this pattern on Splitcoaststampers.

Lots of cards to be made in Oct.

The next birthday in Oct. is Justin's. His is on the 26th. I used the Paisley Cartridge for the owl and branch.
The next birthday is Randy's. His is on the 27th. He turned 9. I used the Cars cartridge for Lightning McQueen. I love that movie!!
Next is Missy's birthday on Halloween. I used the Heritage Cartridge for the tea set and tray. It so reminds me of Missy!
My friend, Janice, had a death in her family last week. Her mom passed and I needed to make a sympathy card for her. I used Storybook Cartridge for the swirly frame and oval.

Cory's birthday is Dec. 14, but Bill and Deb are having a combined birthday party for Randy and Cory on Nov.13. So here is Cory's card. I used Make-the-Cut software to make this. Found the clip art online. I also used Graphically Speaking for the 10's.

October's happenin's

Faith went on her first date with Tyler. They went to the homecoming banquet for Church of the Open Door. It was held at Gargus Hall. She looked so grown up!!

Barb's grandson got married on Oct. 3, so I made a wedding card for them.
Next was Faith's 14th birthday on October 10.
Then my brother, Mike's, birthday was the 16th. Here is the card that I sent to him.

Home from vacation

We had a wonderful time at Jeff's!! Only one problem......Tropical Storm Hermine dropped torrential rain there. ha ha They were happy because it hadn't rained there in a couple of months, but it made for lousy sightseeing!! And.... wouldn't you know the rain followed us most of the way back home. (through Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Kentucky)
Enough of that! It was great to see Jeff, Julie, Jenna, and Josh!! Their house is gorgeous. The trip was fun and traveling with the Carroll family was great.
We stopped at the Loretta Lynn ranch.
It was beautiful!
This the mill across the street from the house.
We stayed in Jackson, TN the first night. Then we drove to Dallas to stay for two nights because Jenna was having soccer tournaments there.
One of the days that we were at Jeff's in Pflugerville, we drove to Austin to tour the capitol building. Wow it was beautiful! Here are Jenna and Josh out front.
Coming home we stopped at the welcome center in Memphis and I got my picture taken with Elvis!!!!

Texas Bound!

We leave tomorrow for Texas!! I finally get to see where Jeff lives!! Woo Hoo!! I've only been west of Nashville once and that was the southern route on St. Route 10.
We'll be going with Missy, Mark, Bethany, and Ben. We're driving their mini van. The plan is to switch drivers occasionally so no one gets too tired. Bethany has her learners permit and wants to drive some, too. (not so sure that's a good idea going down--it'll be Labor Day weekend on super highways)
Missy is really excited to cross over the Mississippi River!! haha
I'll post some pictures when we get back.

Saturday, August 28

Well, I forgot to take pictures of the cards that I made for Vicki and Trevor. I do that a lot. LOL Since they live so close I may see if I can borrow them to get some pictures.

Ok, now I made a card for Mark for his birthday. His birthday is Sept. 5. Since Mark is a manager at Cracker Barrel and wears a shirt and tie every day, I made this for him.

Thursday, August 12

Some more cards

The next birthday was Bethany's, on August 17. Since she loves monkeys, I made this for her.
The next birthday was Josh's. His birthday is August 27.

Busy August

I've been busy working on cards for the August birthdays. First is Dani's card and then a mini book I made for her.

This is the mini book that I made for her.
