End of a Season

Well yesterday was a sad day indeed for me. We sold our pop-up tent camper. We just weren't able to go camping any more. Since I have camped my whole life, I'm having a hard time dealing with it. I guess you could say that it was an end to another season in my life. I know in my heart that I'm not that old (I'll be 60 at the end of the year), but knowing that I'll never go camping again makes me feel very old. Gosh I never stopped to think about all the seasons (stages) in one's life before.

First Day of Summer and My 41st Wedding Anniversary

Can you believe it? Yesterday was my 41st anniversary! It really doesn't seem that long. It almost feels like it was just a short time ago I was walking down the aisle on my dad's arm. There are so many of my friends and family that have divorced, I almost feel like an oddity.  We have had our share of ups and downs, but we made it work. From this marriage we have brought five of the most spectacular children into this world. I couldn't be more proud of each and every one. Out of these children, we now have 12 natural and 2 step grandchildren. God has blessed us so! I'm looking forward to the next 20 years. I am so in love with my wonderful husband. Are there things that I wish I could change about him...sure. But there are tons more that I wouldn't even think about changing. We all have our faults and I have lots. He loves me through it all.

Sizzlin' Saturday

I've been working on a few cards. There are a lot of events in June. The first one is for Megan for her birthday.

I thought I would try a shaped card. I made this one for Jeff's birthday. I used the Make The Cut software. The doors open and "Happy birthday" is inside. Since Jeff lives in Texas now, I wanted something that reminds me of there!

I made this one for Julie. I've really been missing Jeff, Julie, and the children. They will be coming to visit around the Fourth of July. We are planning a family reunion and birthday party for Bill on the fourth at Missy's.

I made this one for Mom. I really miss my mother!! I don't know when I will be able to get down to Alabama again!

I made this one for Jenna. She is really good with a hula-hoop! LOL  This was made with the Paisley cartridge.

I made this one for Missy's and Mark's anniversary. I really like how this came out! It's bright and colorful.

I made this one for Mark for Father's Day. I love From My Kitchen cart. Mark's whole family went together and got him a big grill for Father's day. It's gas on one side and charcoal on the other!
